Hi friends! Here are some photographic highlights of my trip to San Francisco.

This is me in front of the "Painted Ladies", a famous row of Victorians just a few blocks from Kristen's place. Nice SF skyline behind.

ChinaTown. (Shiatsu classmates - I found a Chinese herb shop and bought a little bottle of "Po Som On". :-) )

Marin headlands. This is the other end of the Golden Gate Bridge from SF.

Marin headlands, looking out across the Pacific.

Haight Ashbury, the famous corner.

Haight Ashbury, another view. Those overhead cables power electric buses, which run right on the streets, no tracks. Very cool.

The Japanese Tea Gardens in Golden Gate Park. Probably the closest thing to the gardens of the Silver Pavilion in Kyoto on this side of the Pacific.

In the Japanese Tea Gardens.

Yours truly with the Buddha in the Japanese Tea Gardens.

Sunset as seen from "Hippie Hill" in Golden Gate park.

The poetry room at City Lights Bookstore.

City Lights Bookstore.

Me and Emperor Norton. He's buried in Colma, just about a 20 minute BART ride out from SF...the whole expedition took under 3 hours to ride out, find and pay my respects to the one and only Emperor of the United States, and get back into the city. Well worth it if you have any Discordian tendencies.

In Golden Gate, with the bridge behind...squinting into the sun.

On the beach by the ruins of Sutro baths, under the Cliff House. I got to tag the Pacific.
